The audiences of the 27th Internationales Dokumentarfilmfestival München will have an opportunity to watch the total of 10 documentary films from 9 countries that compete within the most prestigious festival section DOK.International from May 2 – 9, 2012. The one and only East European representative among them is Ramin, the widely successful caravan title from Latvian-Georgian co-production. While Ramin became the 101st documentary originating with the support of Institute of Documentary Film (announced during IDF’s Industry Programme last year in Jihlava), Munich has been its remarkable 21st festival appearance so far.

Ramin Lomsadze, a 75-year-old Georgian wrestler who once won seven matches in 55 seconds, is getting ready for the fight with his last and most formidable opponent - loneliness. He gets on the train and sets off for a remote Georgian village to seek out the girl he loved and lost fifty years ago.
