In 2011 East Silver Caravan supported – in a greater or a lesser extent – in total 115 documentary films. The number of East Silver Caravan’s destinations was increased to 80 in 2011 (which is twice as much as in previous year). This increase resulted in 128 festival screenings of supported films (for comparison 55 films were screened at festivals in 2010). Many of those films were selected for competitive sections and 15 documentaries were awarded (for example Sterling Award for Best World Feature for Family Instinct at Silverdocs 2011, HBO Documentary Films Emerging Artist Award for At the Edge of Russia at HotDocs, Best Documentary Award for The World According to Ion B. at Cape Winelands Film Festival or FIPRESCI award for Paradise Hotel at Thessaloniki IDFF).
