Made In Dignity
Made In Dignity, Austria, 2005, 35 min, Digi Beta, Human Rights
Based on a 2003 research trip to India`s textile production sites undertaken by a women`s solidarity group, which Prinzgau/Podgorschek accompanied, the documentary explores to what extend do the codes of conduct created in the West (i.e. the voluntary commitment of businessmen to ecological and social issues) actually improve working conditions, or whether they only serve to assuage consumer`s guilt.
