DIGITIZED EAST SILVER MARKET 2008
Digitized East Silver market opened for the 5th time at the 12th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival 2008. The market offered 242 titles with the greatest international potential from total of 420 submissions and also 120 films from the festival program. There were 30 computers installed and just like the last year they were always busy. The printed version of catalogue served as a practical handbook distributed to all professionals for free, was mapping the documentary production and activities realized in the Eastern European region during the last year 2008 (especially the travelling showcase of the East Silver Caravan selection).
The video library was visited by 185 important European film professionals: representatives of TV stations, film festivals, media, film institutions and organisations, but also filmmakers, producers, distributors. In comparison to the last year’s market (130 professionals though out the whole market) the visits to the library / the markets success grew by 23 percent.
